Our company was founded in 1986 as U.S. Hospitality, and the company produced advertising-based in-room guest directories for the hospitality industry. In 2005, the company introduced free public-use computers to hotels. U.S. Hospitality acquired Uniguest in 2009 and expanded its offerings to a variety of fully managed and supported technology solutions including public-use computers and digital signage.
In 2013, private equity firm Atlantic Street Capital acquired Uniguest to further accelerate the company’s growth and expand its technology offerings beyond the hospitality industry. In a strategic effort to consolidate the consumer-facing technology, Uniguest completed a series of acquisitions in 2015 and 2016. These acquisitions included Vertical Systems, Inc. (VSi), Ascension Software, Eleven Wireless, and Showcase Technologies.
To further Uniguest’s position in public space technology, Uniguest acquired UK-based ONELAN in early 2018. ONELAN is the global leader in innovative digital visual communications including digital signage, wayfinding, data visualization, and meeting room bookings.
In a move to strengthen its footprint in the senior living market, Uniguest acquired Touchtown in March of 2019. Touchtown provides solutions that enhance community engagement for residents, families, and employees.
The latest game-changing Uniguest acquisition was UK-based Tripleplay. With the growing need to deliver live TV and video as part of a digital signage solution across key markets, Uniguest believes combining the strengths of the two organizations will give customers access to best-in-class IPTV and digital signage as a complete solution from a single source.
Today, Uniguest has 18,000 managed accounts with over 121,000 managed endpoints. In addition, Uniguest has over 80,000 actively deployed digital signs equipped with its proprietary content management software. Uniguest does business in over 100 countries and supports millions of unique customer experiences each year.
