Uniguest is the global leader in providing highly secure, fully managed customer-facing technology solutions on an outsourced basis to the hospitality, senior living, specialty retail, education, and corporate sectors. Our suite of turnkey consumer-facing technology solutions includes hardware and software solution packages, system implementation, and 24/7/365 multi-lingual support for public space kiosks, purpose-built kiosks (PC, iMac, tablet), digital signs, tablets, remote printing, and more – all designed to deliver a consistent and safe experience to our clients’ customers.
Uniguest has earned more brand mandates with major hoteliers than any other provider in the industry and is constantly redefining the gold standard of public-use kiosks to ensure the technology meets the demands of tech-savvy users as well as withstands ever-evolving cyberthreats. Within its core markets, we are positioned at the center of a digital engagement trend where businesses are leveraging technology to drive customer traffic and interaction.
Our company was founded in 1986 as U.S. Hospitality, and the company produced advertising-based in-room guest directories for the hospitality industry. In 2005, the company introduced free public-use computers to hotels. U.S. Hospitality acquired Uniguest in 2009 and expanded its offerings to a variety of fully managed and supported technology solutions including public-use computers and digital signage.
In 2013, private equity firm Atlantic Street Capital acquired Uniguest to further accelerate the company’s growth and expand its technology offerings beyond the hospitality industry. In a strategic effort to consolidate the consumer-facing technology, Uniguest completed a series of acquisitions in 2015 and 2016. These acquisitions included Vertical Systems, Inc. (VSi), Ascension Software, Eleven Wireless, and Showcase Technologies.
To further our position in public space technology, Uniguest acquired UK-based ONELAN in early 2018 and Tripleplay in 2019. ONELAN is the global leader in innovative digital visual communications including digital signage, wayfinding, data visualization, and meeting room bookings. Tripleplay is a digital engagement platform provider, delivering digital signage, IPTV, video streaming and enterprise video. Specializing in sports, arena, banking, finance, retail, education and enterprise together Tripleplay and ONELAN is a powerhouse of AV technology.
In a move to strengthen its footprint in the senior living market, Uniguest acquired Touchtown in March of 2019. Touchtown provides solutions that enhance community engagement for residents, families, and employees. This was followed up by the acquisitions of VCTV and Sagely, expanding capabilities and expertise in the sector.
In 2021 Uniguest added the JANUS Displays business to its family, enhancing its offering into the hotel and hospitality industry and broadening its specialty in digital signage, video walls, wayfinding and display technologies. UCView was then added to our portfolio, a digital signage and IPTV platform focussed on the education, corporate and venue industry.
We then launched our Voice Division in October 2021 through the acquisition of Volara, a voice control and AI platform that allows contact-free user interactivity with any environment, with particular specialty in hospitality and senior living.
In December 2021 we completed the acquisition of Planet eStream, an education video, digital signage, lecture capture and engagement provider, augmenting our expertise and capability in the education market and enhancing our enterprise video offerings.
Today, Uniguest has 18,000 managed accounts with over 135,000 managed endpoints. In addition, Uniguest Group has over 500,000 actively deployed digital signs and IPTV endpoints equipped with its proprietary content management software. Uniguest does business in over 100 countries and supports millions of unique customer experiences each year and was named in the top 5 Digital Signage CMS providers in 2021.
