This release incorporates new features that enable users and brands to further enhance their audience engagement through eye-catching and informative digital signage, including a new Maps Widget, new Media Player hardware for delivering immersive video wall content, and streamlined content management using Data Tables.
The Map Widget enables users to provide visitors with a curated list of local amenities and landmarks with key information, including travel time and distance. Video walls are perfect for creating an eye-catching digital centerpiece; however, this requires Media Players capable of delivering smooth playback of high-resolution content. The release of the Uniguest 4K2 Media Player enables DEP users to efficiently utilize immersive 4K video content and 4K signage templates to engage customers on the largest screens in their property.
In addition, DEP 24.1 has introduced Data Tables, a spreadsheet-style format that creates a more straightforward method for updating signage information. This bypasses the need to create signage templates or manage designs and styling, enabling users without technical expertise to manage content and keep signage up to date.
