Under the astute guidance of François David, LDLC Arena embarked on a transformative journey by forging a strategic partnership with Uniguest to implement its Tripleplay platform. With a steadfast commitment to crafting unforgettable fan experiences, François articulated, “We deployed dynamic display screens to energize the fan experience and provoke among our spectators a wow effect.” The result? Over 250 dynamic display screens strategically positioned throughout the arena, complemented by an equivalent number within the Stadium group that also includes the Groupama Stadium, culminating in an impressive tally exceeding 600 screens.

Highlighting the significance of this collaboration, Xavier Pierrot emphasized, “We have two very big infrastructures that are not the same age, and we were particularly successful with Tripleplay to adapt and to have the same technological solution on two different infrastructures.”

The LDLC Arena underwent a remarkable transformation, emerging as a beacon of technological innovation in the realm of sports and entertainment venues. Meanwhile, at Groupama Stadium, existing screens remained in place, leveraging the versatility of the Tripleplay platform by seamlessly connecting the Uniguest Media Players to the existing fleet. This approach not only ensured continuity but also optimized resource utilization, eliminating the need for wholesale replacements.

François explained further, “We’ve harnessed its potential to its fullest extent, modifying it multiple times per session. Initially, we even utilized it in pre-event lounges, such as before a concert, featuring a countdown to the artist’s entrance, enticing latecomers to join the excitement. The technology’s versatility is truly limitless; we’ve employed it for a myriad of purposes within a single event.”

A key part of LDLC Arena’s interest in Tripleplay was the platform’s ability to deliver low-latency, encrypted video to any display across the venue’s IP network; something other digital signage systems are unable to compete with.

Xavier Pierrot emphasized the strategic importance of optimizing the fan experience through high-quality, low latency encoding. He stated, “Synchronized live camera feeds ensured fans never missed key moments, enhancing engagement and creating revenue opportunities. This is achieved by giving ticket holders confidence to leave their seats and visit food and beverage outlets while staying in touch with events in the bowl.”
