Uniguest technology illuminates and informs at Cotai Ferry Terminal.
The Hong Kong-based terminal that serves passengers planning to take the Cotai Water Jet ferry to Macau, was in need of a content display solution that could provide up-to-the-minute information on crossings, ticket prices, and changes to the schedule. To enable this, it sought a reliable, scalable IPTV and digital signage system.
Through its distribution partner in Asia-Pac, Mindstec, Uniguest’s MediaStar platform was recommended to provide a sophisticated IPTV and digital signage solution that would distribute vital travel information to all displays in the ferry terminal under central control to ensure accuracy and speed.
Over 100 MediaStar 782 and 780 Media Players were deployed onto the network at the terminal to serve multiple displays. Passengers can now easily access information before boarding the ferry or prior to booking tickets. This has improved efficiency for terminal staff and keeps passengers engaged and informed at all times.
